Sorting game tips: 10 tricks to beat every level
These tips work for Fridge Sort and every match-3 sorting puzzle: goods sort, triple match, shelf sort and more.
1. Look for the shelf that is almost full
Before moving anything, scan for shelves that already hold 2 identical items. Bringing the third one there clears a shelf in a single move and frees space for everything else.
2. Sort the timed zone first
The freezer, oven, washer, thermos or paint table runs on a clock and its items can only move inside it. Clear it early: you earn a time bonus and you stop worrying about the countdown.
3. Keep one empty slot
Never fill every slot. One free slot lets you park an item while you dig out the one you need. Most lost levels come from running out of space, not from bad luck.
4. Watch the back rows
Items behind the front row move forward when a shelf clears. Peek at the dots on each shelf: clearing the shelf with a hidden layer often reveals the match you are missing.
5. Open mystery boxes early
A box costs no moves to open and tells you exactly what you are working with. Planning blind wastes moves.
6. Golden items are worth triple
Golden trios pay three times the coins. If two moves can clear either a normal or a golden trio, go for gold.
7. Ice thaws on its own
Frozen items unlock after a few moves anywhere on the board, so work around them instead of waiting.
8. Chain clears for combos
Clearing shelves within a few seconds of each other builds a combo multiplier. Set up two almost-full shelves, then finish them back to back.
9. Use boosters at the right time
Undo is best right after a mistake; Shuffle is best when the board is crowded and nothing matches; an extra Shelf saves a level when every slot is taken.
10. Play the Daily Challenge twice
The daily level is the same for everyone. Play it once to learn it, then again to beat your score in fewer moves.
